Of course not all patch cables are interchangeable although many of them are very similar. Belkin cables are very well made but suffer from being wound up way too tight in the packaging. I laughed, I cried, I patched equipment into my network.
The only thing you can do is picking a well-known brand with a Lifetime warranty. This cable has never failed so I do not know what a "Lifetime warranty" covers? My life, the panel life, or the life of the cable when it wares out? 14 ft can reach a good distance but if you use a lot of connections it can get crowded.
Anyway before going out and comparing prices remember that this one has Snagless design. I can't tell you how many times that it has helped when reconnecting phones and data. Oh and I tried it on 100 base-t.
