A sequel that lives up to the original...

There are some of those movie classics that always have a special place in our hearts, (e.g. "Star Wars" & "The Wizard of Oz") then there are the sequels that only bring them down (e.g. "Halloween", "Jurassic Park" etc.) Only once and awhile does a sequel get the rare opportunity to far surpass the original. "Spider-Man 2" does just that with even more talented actors, special effects, and more action than before! Tobey Maguire returns to play the web-slinging hero who faces the evil Dr. Octavious (AKA "Dr. Octopus", wonderfully performed in a sinister way by Alfred Molina)

This time, Peter Parker is drawing nearer and nearer to the love of his life Mary Jane Watson, but at the same time realizes that being together could never happen considering his job as Spider-Man. "With great power comes great responsibility" as Uncle Ben says. Feeling frustrated from all the stress and not being able to spend enough time doing the things he likes, Peter throws in the towel and gives up the suit, trying to blend in with the rest of New York's society.

Meanwhile, Dr. Octopus (or "Doc Oc")is after Harry Osborne in order to help him bring forth a dangerous magnetic fusion field with enough power to wipe out everyone and EVERYTHING! Harry makes a truce with the mad scientist for him to find Spider-Man and bring him to Harry's apartment, considering Harry still wants revenge after the death of his father, Norman Osborne (see the original 2002 "Spider-Man") After meeting up with Mary Jane at a local Cafe', she is kidnapped by Doc Oc and soon Peter realizes his mistake and that he cannot deny who he REALLY is and thus, Spider-Man returns for one last final duel (possibly one of the LONGEST fights ever recorded on film!)

ALL of the actors did PERFECT for their roles! Even Kirsten Dunst was most excellent for her part as beautiful MJ (though she was horrible in "Bring It On" which is a very craptastic movie!) Sure there's a couple action cliches' in this motion picture (at least more than that of the original blockbuster smash hit) but it still packs enough web power and sky high slinging good fun that will leave you breathless! Don't miss it!

ok first if your confused over peter losing his powers it was because he was worrying about himself too much he was wondering about what to do about a job,mary-jane,aunt may that kind of stuff ok? anyway spider-man 2 is the best superhero movie ever!!

Waaaaay better then the first

Spider-Man 2 is really great and intellgent the movie is about peter parker being depress of his hero duties and that he can't be with mary jane. Then the evil doctor octopus makes his appearence making this film great I can't tell anymore but the dvd is full of lots of stuff so buy it now.
