Did the trick! |
I bought a Sony 42" Wega HD tv and after reading about 80 reviews of this hd antenna I decided to try it. I live in an area that is at least 30 miles from the nearest broadcast tower.
All I had to do was connect it to the back of the tv like any other antenae and use the autoprogram function on the set to find the channels. After that I just experimented moving the antenna in different directions until I got the best signal on all of the channels. For such a flimsy simple looking device it sure does the job. I highly recommend this to anyone needing a hd antenna. It's really good and it was relatively cheap. |

Excellent product! Great value! |
After reading the great reviews I decided on this HD antenna as my first antenna purchase. You can believe the hype because it works great, was easy to install, and the resulting picture is fabulous!
I am in Houston and found at least 10 stations I could pick up, though I really only purchased it so I could watch major network tv. The signal strength is border line with about 60% signal strength, but one thing I found out with the digital picture is that it is either all or nothing. The picture at 60% signal strength will look just as fabulous at 90% signal strength.

worse than my bunny ears |
| I live in San Mateo, which is over 20+ from the main San Francisco towers. I know I won't get good reception, but I didn't think my $10 bunny ears (with a base and a circular loop piece in the middle) from Target was better than this one. The Zenith feels VERY cheap, but it's obviously working for many people. I would've rated it higher, but I can't because obviously, it can't be just my location if my bunny ears perform better. I'm mainly using it for analog reception. I bet this thing is very good if I were closer to the transmission tower, compared to using another type of antenna. But for long distances, this thing seems to be worse. |
