I bought 2 of these phones for my daughters and activated them last night. It's great so far. It's perfect for them. I actually got the 300 minutes/double minutes plan for a year. There's also a referral program where if I send you an e-mail before you activate your phone, you and I both can get 100 free minutes. I did it with both of these phones and it was easy!! Tracfone....A Very Frustrating Ordeal

I wouldn't recommend purchasing this card right away because it may not work in your local calling area......I purchased a tracfone phone two weeks ago and it remains in roaming mode whenever I use it from my home. (My zip code is listed on their website as being an area they service.)

I've emailed and spoken with their customer service department many times over the past two weeks and nobody seems to be able to assist me. It's an agonizing and time consuming process. So please be aware of this situation so you don't find yourself in my predicament.

My tracfone has worked out good so far. Customer service is fine and the free voicemail was easy to set up and use. If you decide to get a tracfone, please let me refer you before activating it- we each wiil get 100 free minutes from the referral program. My email is is shown above
