MD61 delivers performance and quality |
| After using the base unit for a month I decided to get an extra handset. The MD61 is identical to the handset that comes with the MD681 phone. With two handsets I can now conference call and transfer calls between both handsets and the base. The range is fantastic! I walked 2 blocks away and still crystal clear. The only knock on this phone is the battery. It needs to be recharged more often than other phones I have had, but the battery indicator is on the LED and you can set up a warning beep when it gets low. Otherwise - 5 stars! |

Great Phone for Parents with Young Children. |
I needed a phone that worked on 5.8. I couldn't get my old 2.4GHz phone to play nicely with my Wi-Fi network and I didn't want to risk a 900MHz phone from interfering with my baby monitor. It's also just a great phone. The intercom is useful when my wife is nursing and needs me to get something for her. Also, the phone can be set on vibrate so the ring won't wake the baby up. The base station of the MD671 also rings in case you forget to take the receiver off vibrate. Finally, the phone can be switched over to speaker phone or a hands-free devise can be added for when you have your hands full.
My only objections to this phone are that each Accessory Handset has to be programmed with the phone list and my wife has a habit of accidentally deleting entries and resaving (resulting in duplicate) entries on the phone list. It would be nice if the phone list was saved on the base station so all phones could use the same list or if it were possible to store and manage the phone list on a pc and then update the phone via a USB connection... but i don't know of any phone that offers these niceties so I'm not going to deduct anything from my score. |

| I like the form factor and range of this model. The newer version of this phone is too big for my hands, but the MD6x family is perfect. I have three of them, including the base station. |
