Motorola MD671 5.8GHz Cordless |
| Phone is fantastic. Works better than expected. Keeps a charge a very long time and the Caller ID and other functions work extremely well. |

it's not a good/reliable product |
| battery went bad after 3 days. it leaks so fast that i have to keep charging and it can't even let me finish 30-min talk. man, bad quality, it's not motorola's product, just the label, i think. |

Motorola MD671: Good Phone - Better Deal |
After buying phones ad nauseam, I don't think one can pass this one up considering the price, ease of use and reliability. I've purchased several Panasonics and had the batteries drain off in hours, not days. I bought a Siemens for about $150.00 expecting the Holy Grail of communication devices, only to receive a full-featured phone that cracked and popped so loud in my ear that I thought of checking for blood loss.
Enter the Motorola MD671. I didn't expect much considering it was only going to cost $39.00 and some change. But, when I hooked it up and took the 5 minutes to get it rolling, I was pleasantly surprised. Not one pop, crack or sizzle and no battery issues as the handset sits upon a smart charger as did the Siemens. The Voice Mail indicator was a big plus for me and, I wouldn't have purchased a phone without it since I use this for my business.
Yeah, there are some shortcomings but, for the price, they're very tolerable: One has to clear the base and the handset Caller I.D. logs separately and, as far as I know, there's no one-button speed dial for Voice Mail access. Some may find the slimline erognomics of the handset frustrating when attempting a 'hands-free' phone call but, I'd give that up any day for plain old reliability and for a phone that does what it's supposed to do. All the bells and whistles in the world mean nothing if your device doesn't perform the most primary functions necessary.
I'd buy another one of these in a heartbeat - and very well might if, upon reading this review, Motorola doesn't send me one for free! ;) Hey, I think I'm even going to receive my $30.00 rebate without an Act of Congress. Buy it. |
