| At the correct volume, these earphones sound like your listening through the air. I've worn them for hours at a time, with no discomfort. Highs and lows sound natural, not enhanced. Mid-range not harmful at high volume levels. With the proper fit,most surrounding noises are canceled out. Well worth the price. I would love to listen to the "E5c" model. I can't believe they could be much better. |

| I have been struggling with the apple "in-ear" buds forever. These are the best. Perfect for air travel, you literally cannot hear anything but your tunes. Unless, of course you're chewing on something at the same time.... |

great 'phones at at great price |
| These canalphones are a nice upgrade from stock ipod buds... much more comfortable and sonically superior. After researching comparable offerings from Etymotic and others, I am pleased with my Shures, a total bargain from amazon at under $60. They do a wonderful job of blocking out exterior ambient sounds... and with optional extra-soft sleeves they are very comfortable. The sound is neutral, with crisp, clear highs and good midrange; bass isn't pronounced but the sound overall is so pleasant that I don't see this as a dealbreaker. Recommended. |
