Good for car trips

Some friends had already told me that FM Transmitters are not good at all, but I ordered Tunecast II. My friends were right. However, on the road, far away from big cities, it works fine. I think the FM spectrum are just too crowd near great urban areas and the transmitter power is not suficient for a good and clear transmission.

better things out there

i didnt like this one because
1. it hangs from the ipod, does not attatch snugly
2. it moves around and makes my ipod pause
3. connection not great.

if you want a better one, i suggest the maxell one. It connects right into the top and sits like itrip, great reception, and runs off the ipod battery.

Caveat Emptor

I bought this item through Amazon in May 2005. I didnt get a chance to use the item till I moved to India in early June. That's when I realised that the product was not working as it was supposed to. Basically, the thing refuses to Auto-OFF, and thus drains the 2-AAA batteries, overnight! Unless, of course, I remove them after listening to songs on my iPod. According to the manual, the product is supposed to Auto-OFF when there is no signal for 30 seconds...

Clearly since it was more than 30 days, I could not return the product on Amazon. So I tried writing into Belkin Customer Service to see if anything could be done. I received a prompt response from Belking saying this product is not meant to be used outside of the US (which wasnt mentioned anywhere when I purchased the product). When I requested whether anyone from Tech Support could help me with the problem, I havent heard from them since (over 3 weeks).

Has left a bad taste in my mouth:-(
