They promote the range expander with specifications that are not accurate.

They took me around 1 and half hour on the phone and couldn't find a solution, they accepted that they were wrong and anyway they didn't solve my problem with responsibility.

I wouldn't reccomend to deal with linksys because then it willbe a headache if anything goes wrong.

the funny think is that I bought Linksys to don`t have compatibility problems

No Trouble With Set-up

I got to tell you--after reading all the reviews about how difficult this thing was to set up, I was really really scared. But, I had a gift certificate to spend, so I said "What the heck?" Well, I had ABSOLUTELY NO TROUBLE AT ALL setting this thing up. All I did was follow the instructions. YES, I had WEP enabled. All you need to do is know your key (I wrote it down) and set up is ridiculously easy.

Maybe I got lucky? I don't know. What I do know is thing was up and running (two blue lights) in less than 15 minutes.

Also, my router is on the 2nd floor of my house and I put the expander in my basement (under ground, no windows). My desktop in the basement went from "Very Low" to "Excellent" signal strength. No problems at all.

This was a great purchase for me.

No problems

I was up and running in about 5 minutes. Make sure WEP is disabled on your router before starting the install process. I also upgraded firmware on the router, and eventually the range expander. I plugged in the expander, navigated to 192.168.1.240 on a browser on the network, and setup the expander. Then I enabled WEP on the expander, then the router. Everything worked well. Maybe I am just lucky based on all the negative reviews here.
