Buyer Beware!!

I had this laptop for 2 months when it finally decided that it no longer wanted to turn on. I ended up losing everything on the hard drive without any warning that there was something wrong.

great for the money!!

this computer is great!! Upgraded to 512, for 40 bucks! this does everything I need it to do in a laptop. Only negative is that the keyboard spacings isn't comfortable, but I use a mouse anyway so it is great!!

Breaking Apart - Customer service = 0

I do like Averatec, I also love AMD processor, as far as My concern AMD is the best one and for a real decent price. I got this computer and a week after the leds cover just jumped out its position, I glued back several times, until I got tired, and finally the cover get lost. Some days after, the lock button also disappear, so mi pain began. I placed a service request trough the Averatec Page, no answer so far, I called several times just to hear music, I faxed a request and up to now SILENCE is the
answer I have. I opened the unit and rebuild the lost parts my self, but that is not the general idea of Customer Service .....
